Disapointment felt across Canada ( Candian juniors hockey)

In a extreamly disapointing showing for the first time in 15 years at the juniors, the Canadian squad fell short of a medal. The game vs the United States in the semi s was the tell all of a team not ready for glory. As a huge fan of Candian hockey I saw a team not prepared this may have been in my opinon the coaching or lack of leadership. The next game was well fought into a overtime lost vs the Russians. This game showed a team with much more heart. This team battled back after being down on 3 seprate ocassions to tie but never taking the lead and losing in overtime.

MLB ALLSTAR GAME

The home run tournament was entertaining i must admit but the game itself well in a all star game when the score is 8 - 0  its less interesting.  The fact that the game now has some incentive with the winning team receiving home field advantage in the world series. I would have thought it would have been closer but I'm still happy because this just means as a proud Canadian we are one day closer to hockey season

T.v. series worth your time

1. Dexter
2. Game of Thrones
3. Walking Dead
4. Sons of Anarchy

Todays Maple Leafs

Wow is pretty much all a FAN can say right now after all the talk from Brian Burke. He states he is confedent in  the goaltending now, which is what he said at the trade deadline.
Of course that lead us to a spot well out of the playoffs. We're told we need a 1st line centre and put our hopes on Tim Connolly who well under achived. At the trade deadline leafs nation heard from Burke only in the signing of Mikhail Grabovski. At the tail end of a contract which was un fruitfull with Mike Komisarek at 5 million a year for three years a another avarage player reaches the same deal. With the adition of Van Reimsdyk some size is brought to the front end which is much needed. Althogh this comes at the cost of size on the back end in the trade going the other way is leading checker Luke Sheen . If Brian Burke cant pull off a trade for Nash or a first line centre it seems the leafs are doomed to fall short this year with a lack of goaltending and size.

(Anchorman) Ron Burgundy's Top Ten Lines

1. I'm a man who discovered the wheel, and built the Eiffel Tower out of metal and brawn! That's what kind of man I am. You're just a woman with a small brain. With a brain a third the size of ours. It's science.
2. Mmm. San Diego. Drink it in, it always goes down smooth. Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diago, which of course in German means "a whale's vagina".
3. I don't know how to put this , but i'm kind of a big deal . People know me.
4. Um, I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
5. Last time I looked in the dictionary, my name's Ron Burgundy. What's your name?
7. I regret this decision immediately
8  I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly..
9. [sobbing inside a phone booth] I'm in a glass case of emotion!
10. Wow. Never ceases to amaze me. What cologne you gonna go with? London Gentleman, or wait. No, no, no. Hold on. Blackbeard's Delight.

Canadians will win this war with ethical behavior and sharp rep-remands lol. Don't worry I am Canadian.
I would like to hear who would win and why from other strategists. Comment below on why the country you discuss would win in a serious battle should happen

Big Bop/Reverb

This post is for the Big Bop/Reverb. This is a venue that is located in the heart of Toronto Ontario. The Big Bop started in 1985 as a DJ nightclub back when the Entertainment District had not been developed yet. But by the time Richmond Street super-clubs were up and running in 1993, the venue fell on hard times. Dominic bought the building in 1996 and decided to turn it into a live music hall consisting of three venues: Kathedral, Reverb & Holy Joes. There is not a huge amount of metal/hard rock venues in Toronto but there is a few The Reverb/Big Bop is one of the oldest and most well known. One of the main reasons it's so popular despite its grungy exterior is it's welcoming of almost any local band. In fact on Thursday Jan 7th I saw what was probably the last show I will ever see there with On Burning Shores,ADF,Ceaderdale and so on who Iam friends with. This is a venue which allows almost any band to play and throws great compilation shows. Some may think this is a bad thing by many bad and rough around the edges bands playing. This is not the case many bands start playing here and become huge. For instance in '98 I saw the first ever Canadian show by InFlames at this venue. Go figure eh. The Reverb is a iconic place in Toronto in which all of it's residence weather they want to admit it or not will miss it greatly.
Thanks for the memories. Rest in peace Reverb 1985-2010

Blood trails from thee

This is just a video my friend shot of me while I was at his house just playing not a professional recording what so ever that's that.

Review on the Unearth DvD Alive From The Apocalypse

This DvD is possibly my favorite Metal DvD. Alive from the Apocalypse not only has a amazingly well shot live DvD but has hours of behind the scenes with the band telling their fans how Unearth came to be. They show all their changes throughout the bands hard fought and well earned career. The band conveys very thoroughly their rise and how the bands dedication through adversity got them where they are today. The live portion of the DvD is professional to say the least. It shows the intensity of their shows and makes you feel as if you are watching their antics first hand. The band performs spins with their guitars, beer bongs while still playing, and all well playing insainly technical music all around. By far one of my all time favorite music DvD's of all time.

Minor Pentatonic scale In The Key Of A (for you guitar players out there)

I have posted these positions of the A minor pentatonic scale for guitarist that do not know where all the positions on the fret board this scale can be played. This is very helpful in finding new melodies because of the difference in the fingering it makes it easier to find new note patterns. If you do not know how to read tab the top line is your high E and the bottom line is your low E. So from bottom to top its low E-A-D-G-B-E. The numbers represent the fret to be played on the corresponding string. Have fun and enjoy hope this will help in the road to soloing.

Youtube and Music

I have recently come to the conclusion You Tube is great. Now I always thought is was a awesome way to watch drunk people fall, stupid people hit them self, or even a talking dog. The reason for my recent excitement is the musician factor. By this I mean people have a easy venue to display their music. But my favorite element of the site is that many users have posted instructional videos on technique for instruments and songs. For this I thank You Tube and so should all musicians.here's a video my friend matt shot

Matt's gaming review

The following blog under this post is my good friend Matt. He knows what he is talking about and will be from time to time posting game reviews when he get the time away from his gamer blog . Thanks Matt Excellent job . http://aimlessgames.blogspot.com/

Starcraft Awesomeness

I'm sure most gamers have played Starcraft and know it rules hard. Some (especially in Korea) are still playing it fiendishly. Well, a new Starcraft is coming out soon(-ish)! This is sick news!. A bunch of the gang are brushing up for the release by playing each other over the LAN and doing up the campaigns from the original and the expansion. I am sucked right back into it even though I have thoroughly beat it many times and multiplayer-ed a lot of my childhood away, it stands the test of time. check out Aimless games for the upcoming reviews (Savage posted his already, ha).

If you have never played it, go get it now. Its still available in some stores, even after 12 years, it's that good. Just look for the Starcraft Battle Chest, and it comes with the expansion too. Here are some screen shots from early in the expansion Protoss campaign.

I'm working on some EPIC custom levels and I wanna have an EPIC LAN party for the release of Starcraft 2. Maybe do it the day before or something. Stay tuned for more info.

Stay Hoopy,
Matt
